After watching a Fleekazoid video, I read this in Fleek's voice, which made it extra hilarious. Yes, more of this! It's a fun and unique take on cryptids. But the next one has to mention Concord--it's the law. 😂
I’ve never seen any Fleekazoid videos before, but pretty amazing how well they track with each other. I’ll be sure to mention Concord; I’m a law abiding gentleman, after all.
And oh man, really? I haven’t watched Valerian, but it’s been on my list since The Fifth Element is one of my all-time favorites. Is it worth watching? I’ve seen mixed things.
I sadly haven't read the comics, but did I enjoyed the movie. It had a really good world and sense of mystery, albeit some of it was a little goofy. Overall it is definitely worth it!
I'd love to see it expanded! So far we see just bits of the action (mostly just before and just after). So it would be cool to see the actual action as well.
I definitely get that. When I wrote it, I left the action out as I wanted it to be ambiguous whether or not the Mongolian Worm even existed or if the guy was just full of BS. But I don’t know if that translated through and it just reads more like a chunk of action is missing.
If I may be so rude as to suggest: why not make him hide and miss the entire fight this way. The person whom he mansplained the whole situation can do the actual fighting on screen, while this guy just keeps talking to no one and returns at the end to claim victory
But obviously he—as the cryptid master extraordinaire—would never hide. He would instead be coaching from the sidelines, so that his "apprentice" gains the necessary experience and passes the hazing required to be considered an actual crypto-cryptid hunter.
Yes, yes, this is great. Will try to return to this when I have time, finesse it some more, and release an expanded story.
I would love to see where you take this Jeremy! What a neat idea!
Thanks, Hailey! I’d also love to see where I’d take this…will be just as much a surprise for me, I’m sure haha
Sometimes the discovery is the best part! 😅
I think so! I generally only have a vague idea what I'm writing about at any time...that sounds worse when written down.
I would pay for this with cryptid-currency.
🥁😆

Concord created a gravity well of negativity, so massive, it attracted a vast influx of cryptids. 😂
Well, that just makes sense!
I'm definitely interested in seeing more of this!
The opening reminded me of the digital market in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, but it turned out to be something like Tron!
Thanks for the vibe check on this, Eliseo!

A little goofiness feels like a mandatory requirement to me for things like this. It's so otherworldly, it should be goofy!

Thanks, Laura!

To me it read like they were too busy fighting to narrate lol
I can totally see that, and that also makes a lot of sense. Hmmm, need to think on this. Thanks for the feedback :)
I think my problem is I don't really know how to, or enjoy, writing fight scenes. Particularly in a first-person POV.

I love that idea. Now I can never use it (jk jk).

Thank you!
Looking forward to the expanded version!
